EATING THE BIBLE
Can the Bible be eaten?
Is it possible at all?
To answer your questions, let me make an illustration with Food.
What is food?
Why do we eat food?
How do we eat food?
Does the eating pattern or order have an effect on our well being?
Is there any clue between growth and food?
Let’s go on:
When we were babies, before we could know anything, we suck the breast milk of our mothers for the 1st 6 months which contained colostrum.
We didn’t feed on this colostrum or breast milk for the rest of our lives.
It changed.
It changed from solely breast milk to partial breast milk, to not any milk (that is weaning).
Why these changes?
Hold on. I will explain.
Let’s go on.
After weaning, we tried several foods that our parents were already eating, but in small quantities.
Now, our weight began to shoot, our height too. We weren’t crawling anymore but walking and even running.
We started to talk like our parents and could even understand their words a little bit till we could fully understand it all.
Now, what just happened? Growth!
What was the contributing factor? Food!
So imagine a child who didn’t have any colostrum, no breast milk, no food, what would have been his fate by now?
Brethren, as we see, food has fed our mouths.
In the same way, we ought to feed our Spirit.
We believe and know that we live in both the Physical and Spiritual World. It is said that, things happen in the Spirit before it is manifested in the flesh: Be it sickness, good will, health, anything.
So why don’t we feed our Spirit so it could grow tall and strong and sensitive to anything in the Spirit; with our bodies also active to do anything it is commanded to by our Spirit.
Your Spirit needs to be as strong as your body. A body without a strong Spirit is a problem, but a Spirit without a strong body can be managed.
That is to say, the Spirit got the upper hand. But often, it is the most neglected.
The way we invest so much on our bodies, should we invest same or even a little of it to our Spirits, we will go far.
What does the Bible say?
“Bodily exercise profits little…” [ 1 Timothy 4:8]
It didn’t say it doesn’t profit all: It profits little.
All the makeup time, money, exercises, dresses, Fashion, hair, lips injections, surgery, etc, should all these that we do for our bodies be invested in helping our Spirits, the world would go far.
For instance, before someone gets sick, a neighbor’s Spirit would have picked the signal and made it known so that prayers may be offered to avert it.
Likewise, should someone need a Passport and Visa, someone’s Spirit or your own Spirit would have picked it in the Spirit to tell you in order for you to know what to do; your Spirit would have been sharp.
You can see (eyes), hear (ear), feel (skin), taste (tongue), and smell (nose).
But Christians of late can’t see, hear, smell, taste, nor Feel anything in the Spirit.
That should not be so.
So How Can We Grow Our Spirits. What foods do we eat?
Unlike the body, the Spirit doesn’t have or need many Foods.
Its food is the Word of God.
How should this food (the Word) be eaten?
Just as when we are eating, we don’t talk or it is bad to talk while eating, when studying the Bible, don’t be looking around for destruction or be talking.
Don’t read (eat) the Word (food) and leave to go and attend to other things for about an hour before returning to your reading: If it is not important, stick to the reading of the Word till you finish.
Most of us say, “I have read the word regularly or I read the word everyday but my senses are not active.”
I must say, “You have done really well. But should you add some more concentration and commitment to the reading of the word, it will be better.”
Don’t read the Bible like a book or anything. Read it like the commandments of God; with all seriousness.
See the reading of the Word as a moment with God (Honorable). So behave with honor and dignity.
Until you see the Bible as it is and not just a book, you wouldn’t get much of it.
You can start by reading it as a book for fun (hobby), but with time, say, in less than a year, you will experience the supernatural if you continue consistently.
EATING THE BIBLE (Steps):
1. Chew and swallow it into your system. Don’t read it and just keep it in your mouth. Your body (in this case your Spirit) may not get its benefits.
2. Eat it with concentration: No destruction around.
3. Don’t rush while Eating.
4. Eat regularly.
5. Eat Wisely; not too much (overeating) and not too little (malnourished)
6. Eat happily, not forcefully.
I LOVE YOU.
Stay Blessed Every day.
Should you starve your spirit, your spirit would lose strength and not be active even though it is there.
The above pictures is here just to show you how growth occurs should we eat, and eat the right food.
Don’t just be playing gospel songs and giving yourselves excuses for not reading the Word.
Eat the Word of God and make your Spirit Grow Beautifully.
God Richly Bless You darling.
I LOVE YOU.
