When I say, being controlled by money, some people, may look at only the big picture as those people who do evil because of money, people who indulge in blood sacrifices etc.
No!
That may be a part, but that is too big a picture to consider now.
There are lots of people being controlled by money and that is very bad.
I am not surprised that God even “compared” himself to nothing but Money in Matthew 6:24 […you cannot serve God and money.]
He knows the power of money. Money puts you in your emotions, God puts you in the desires of the Spirit.
If you love the things of the flesh, you are at enmity with God. Watch Out!
Why should because of money, someone kill a neighbor to get it? Forgetting that, that much wealth wouldn’t and cannot give you a second life.
Why should you look so hard for money?
If you have clothes to cover you back and food to fill your stomach, YOU SHOULD BE CONTENT.
Human beings are filled with so much desires that nothing is enough; no matter how huge / plenty it is.
It was this same desire of man that caused Eve to fall (desire to be like God; to know good and evil_ “what would it feel like to be like God?” she may have asked herself: “Curiosity that killeth the cat”)
Let’s look at what is written in the book of James 1:13-14, “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by God,’ for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
But each person is tempted when HE IS LURED and ENTICED by HIS OWN DESIRE.”
Before Satan came into the picture of the Garden of Eden, man knew no evil: He was in constant relationship with his master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
But when desire and temptation happened through Eve and the serpent, and Adam, everything changed. Now man knew evil. Cain killed Abel etc out of a desire of hate.
Desire! Desire!! Desire!!!
Can man go back to as it was before? At least, that was why God, through Jesus Christ came down to die for.
“That is not possible.” You may condemn.
What do you mean by it is not possible? Jesus didn’t leave us as orphans: He gave us the HolySpirit, His blood speaks better things for us than the blood of Abel, and there is power in his name; “All power in the Heaven and on Earth has been given unto me. At the mention of the name Jesus, EVERY KNEE MUST BOW, and every tongue must confess that JESUS IS LORD, to the glory of the Father.”
So what do you still mean by it is not possible?
Even you saying it is not possible is like a desire: You are in your flesh right now.
So long as man knows evil and good, he will have good and bad desires: The desire to love, and the desire to hate and kill.
So what can we do? What is the escape route? The escape route is Christ.
Christ is full of Love, and once we desire Christ and live and STAY in Him, we will be controlled by Love, not Man, the devil or evil or even money.
Some think when you come to Christ, you will be poor.
No! That is a deception from the devil.
Who was richer than King Solomon? Who was richer than King David, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Job? WHO BLESSED THESE MEN? Was it Satan? Or God? Or You?
Isaac planted in a foreign land and reaped in the same year and even became very wealthy and powerful that the people of that foreign land begged him to leave their land for fear that, with how powerful and rich Isaac has become, he may controlled /rule over them.
You see?
But none of these people left the feet of God completely. They all died in Him. So what are you talking about? Read Ecclesiastes 7:29, 6:9, 3:12-14, 4:4-6, 5:10, 2:11 and 2:26.
This is no story. The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes was The Wisest Man on Earth, King Solomon. So you cannot have two ways about what he says.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 – God gives Wisdom, Knowledge, and Happiness to those who please Him, but He makes sinners work, earning and saving so that what they get can be given to those who please Him. IT IS ALL USELESS. IT IS LIKE CHASING THE WIND.
Right.
You desire to be rich, and even faster, so you do everything possible; you hate, compete, blackmail, rape etc, forgetting that, as long as the sky is up there, God’s eyes is down here watching and seeing you in your act.
You get all the money you desire and now you begin to live in Fear: Fear of being killed, robbed, raped, whatever.
What a life!
Let God make you rich in his own timing and he will put you in a position that, with all your money, fear or harm will not find you to disturb you.
Remain in Christ.
Should because of money, you become selfish, you rob, pilfer, lie, give false witness etc, you are in danger of hell fire and destruction awaits you.
Matthew 5:22-24: – [22] Whoever calls his brother a worthless fool will be in danger of going to the fire of hell. [23] So if you are about to offer your gift to God at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, go at once and make peace with your brother; and then come back and offer your gift to God.
Money is evil in nature. If you love it, your life will be evil. But if God gives it to you, you will rule over it and NOT BE CONTROLLED by it.
God has good plans for us all. But if we let our desires and what we see entice us and lead us instead of allowing God to lead us, we will have a ‘fun’ life but end up in destruction.
“A way may seem right to a man, but at the end is Destruction [Proverbs 14:12]”
Don’t be controlled by Money. Don’t make a dangerous choice because of money claiming that, you had no choice. You got a choice baby to say No, I will wait on God. Noah looked stupid until it rained.
Don’t worry about what people will say. Worry rather about what God will say and feel.
Don’t say ignorantly that, ‘Oh God will forgive me.’ No. [Read Hebrews 10:26].

James 1:5:– But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives GENEROUSLY and GRACIOUSLY to All.
Hebrews 10:26-27:– For there is no longer any sacrifice that will take away sins if we purposely go on sinning AFTER THE TRUTH HAS BEEN MADE KNOWN TO US.
[27] Instead, all that is left is to wait in fear for the coming Judgment and the fierce fire which will destroy those WHO OPPOSE GOD.
