Have you been born again and decided to be all sold out for Jesus, only for you to find yourself singing a secular song you once knew? Or speaking/dressing in a way you once liked and ‘preached’ about?
Have you been in a bus or some place where someone is playing secular song (it doesn’t sound like gospel) but you seem not to be affected/ influenced by it?
Yes, that is it.
Sin becomes easier when you know evil, see evil, live in evil/hear evil.
If you want to be consecrated for the Lord without having a battle in your mind against the devil, don’t associate yourself with evil and say, “It is nothing”. No sweetheart. Your soul and spirit is at stake here and you got to fight your salvation with fear and trembling (considering nothing, but being serious).
“What has light got to do with darkness?”
If you are sold out to God, consider no worldly song or attitude with the excuse that it is nothing or it’s nice.
Girl, the fruits of that tree in Eden were nice (Eve wouldn’t have considered it if it didn’t look nice/appealing to the eyes) but God told Adam not to even touch it, talkless of eating it. So I tell you, don’t listen to it, talkless of saying it is nice. It isn’t nice. It is a deception.
Be even more scared and careful when the secular/worldly passion is nice; nice dress but short, nice song but secular, nice blouse but exposing, nice man but sex, nice this but that. If it is nice, you should know that the devil wouldn’t package sin/evil in its horrible state. He will sugar coat it for it to look sumptuous and tempting. And know that, God tempts no one. So don’t ‘fall’ and complain, ‘God why did you let me fall?’ He didn’t let you fall, it was your desires which you brooded upon which made you fall into sin [James 1:13-15]. And if you don’t rise up and flee from evil, but stay in it, you will die in it. No Salvation!
When you don’t know, you don’t sin.
When you don’t know the song, you get control over it, when you don’t watch porn, you got control over sexual immorality, when you don’t stay in a profane environment, your speeches are seasoned with salt.
Stay Blessed.
I Love You.
Bye.
