In the book of Matthew 8, God told the leper he healed that, he should not tell anyone about his healing but should do according to what the Law of Moses says and show himself to the priest. [Matthew 8:4]

Why? Didn’t Jesus want to be ‘famous’? Why was he ‘shutting’ people up from talking about his miracles? Why was he kind of shying away from people, but focusing on his impact, and his divine purpose in the smallest possible way?

Often times, when God gives us gifts to do something or when he gives us the grace and the ability to do or become something unique, we have our own hidden agenda to use what God has given us to become famous, rich, and happy forgetting that, without God, we are nothing. God knows our thoughts and for that matter, he knows the desires of our hearts too.

He is omnipotent remember? He is all-powerful.

If you don’t stay focused on the purpose he has given you to create or make an impact, without looking around for applause, approval, views, smiles, likes, money, etc you will end up being in the category of Luke warmness.

The blessings of the LORD brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God]. Proverbs 10:22

Some would say, “Lord, we cast out demons, and performed miracles in your name.” And he will say, “Depart from me for I DO NOT KNOW YOU.” [Matthew 7:22-23]

I know it is tempting to enjoy success in your ministry and get carried away. But, arrest and take hold of yourself before your emotions arrests you and put you in the jail of Hell. “If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. [Matthew 5:30]. You can use this scripture and Proverbs 10:22 to encourage yourself.

If you doing God’s work genuinely and aren’t getting ‘what you are expecting’, cast your attention on your obedience to the calling. JUST DO IT ANYWAY, and God will Know you.[Matthew 7:22-23]
