Mr. Minister, I, the president of the country would like to tell you to resign from your position as the Minister of Affairs because of your unethical behavior displayed during the World Health Speech Day.

Wow… Don’t mind the structure of this letter, but hold on as I explain some concepts to you. With this letter to the minister, do you think the minister would still be holding his/her position? Absolutely Not!

Why?

Because someone in a higher authority has commanded him to resign.

Okay, how about this next example:

“Ama, I am going to the market to collect some money. Please cook supper. I may be late.”

In the aspect of authority, do you think Ama could rebel against this order from her mother?

She dares not!

Or else what?

Or else she would be punished.

Right!

Now, with both of these letters, do the people of high authority physically (with their hands) force their subordinates to obey them?

No! They just speak, and it is/will be done!

This is the SAME WITH GOD (and Us) THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.

When you say, “it is written…” to the devil, he can’t but obey the word that follows, because even the demons know that there is only one God [James 2:19]. And that gets them mad. No matter how they rebelled, they couldn’t get themselves out of the authority of God [Job 1:6].

Jesus did NOT have to ‘fight’ the devil on the mountain top: All that He did was to put him/remind him of the authority he, the devil is still under. He told him, “It is written…” and quoted some scriptures (the sword of the Spirit –Ephesians 6:17). Bible says that Satan left Jesus on the third ‘beatings’ (it is written).

This is why it is not okay when a child of God doesn’t have enough Word of God in his/her spirit – IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!

When Lucifer was an archangel, he covered the throne of God. This means that he was very close to God; he knows things that you and I may not know yet. But with whatever he knows, God has now put him under our feet through Christ [Luke 10:19].

But that doesn’t mean the devil has given up. Remember this scripture, “For the lack of knowledge, my people PERISH. [Hosea 4:6]” Meaning there would be some who would still act ignorant, and they are bound to perish if they don’t get knowledge.

The devil knows the Word, but he has corrupted his wisdom [Ezekiel 28].

Your authority over the devil aside holiness and purity is the Word of God in you. Your shield of faith and sword of the spirit are all rooted in the Word of God (consume it!). If you haven’t got the Word of God in your heart, the fiery darts of the enemy would get you, since you haven’t any shield or sword to fight and defend yourself with.

When you quote a scripture, don’t be emotional about it and just quote the content. Start every scripture with the phrase, “IT IS WRITTEN…” That reminds the devil of the authority he is STILL under. It reminds him of hell where he belongs.

When quoting the scriptures, it is not about you to ‘fight’ the devil or defend yourself. The phrase, “IT IS WRITTEN…” has done all the work on the cross.

The resurrection power of God is stll at work whether you feel it or Not. Just quote the scriptures, for example, “It is written, I am the head and not the tail; it is written, goodness and mercies shall follow me ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE; it is written, I am more than a conqueror; it is written, if God be for me, who can be against me”, etc. This renders the devil powerless. And as I said, don’t be too emotionally minded about it and start doubting as to how a “simple” thing like this would work. Because, IT IS ALREADY DONE… On the cross: “It is finished!”
