What comes out of a person is dependent on what/who he/she is already on the inside; whether a white washed tomb or not?

It is said that action and reaction are equal but opposite, but I must tell you that some reactions are definitely not equal at all to the actions which they were subjected to: A person may be subjected to a particular action, but the reaction or the nature of his reaction is dependent on the who/what he is on the inside.

Should a lovely person be nice to a hateful person, he/she is likely to get an odd reaction (opposite but not equal). Likewise should you subject somebody who is full of love to hate, you are likely to not get hate in return; the worst reaction you may get would be a walk away or silence (not equal and definitely opposite).

Who a person is on the inside is definitely a thing to consider in your daily activities: What a person does to you is not always as a result of what you did: Most of them are as a result of who they are on the inside/what their minds are even made of.

Human beings are diverse; they come from different cultures, upbringings, countries, continents, and a whole lot of things. It would be definitely wrong for you to think that every and anybody thinks and act like you. Even if what you think and do is based on the Word of God, it still doesn’t guarantee equality in action and reaction, because people’s understanding to even the same Word of God differs.

When somebody over-reacts, under-reacts, or even doesn’t react to your action, don’t put the blame on you. Of course you are free to learn any life lesson that may be found in the reaction, but don’t beat yourself to death over a person’s reaction.

I tell you, most reactions are based on who the person is or what he is made of. If he is a lovely person, you will get a different reaction as you will get a different reaction if he was a hateful person.

Don’t beat yourself too much, and start doubting who you are and even your worth.

Remember, we have narcissists, among many other personalities in the world, so if you should blame yourself for every and anybody’s reaction, you should know that you will be doing yourself a whole lot of harm.

Keep the pipelines of communication opened, so that if you need any clarification about any particular action of yours which didn’t go well you could ask.

I repeat, DON’T BEAT DOWN ON YOURSELF, because you are priceless; your worth is unimaginable, and the world is waiting earnestly for the manifestation of your greatness. Don’t allow any unloving, silent, psychopath, even demon destroy your light.

YOU ARE LIGHT (bright and important) AND YOU ARE SALT (tasteful and sweet).

Furthermore, because of this diverse state of people’s minds, it is even advisable to not preach the word of God to ‘suit’ a person’s mind or feelings, because you can’t please them. Preach the Word of God as the Holy Spirit (who knows all things, and can do all things, and can also explain everything to everybody per their level of understanding) leads you. Just be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leadings, and don’t make His work difficult because you want to please your ego or your name and fame.

Biblically, a person’s mind can only be renewed when he reads, meditates and obeys the Word of God [Romans 12:2]. You can encourage a person to read the Word of God as often as possible since the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword and works on the soul and spirit, and even to the joints and marrow of the body (Hebrews 4:12) so that he can become better, and know God deeper. Apart from that, you can’t really do much. Everything depends on the Holy Spirit and His leadings.

As a pastor, as a friend or family of any person, if the Holy Spirit leads you to pray/intercede for somebody, please try hard to do it. Please don’t distort the plans and workings of the Holy Spirit because of you are angry/resentment towards the person. The Holy Spirit is working!

Finally, sweetheart, the next time you relate with somebody and the person reacts, please think first and know that the source of the person’s reaction is from his inside (tomb), before it comes to you.  Don’t worry much about the reaction. If you need to apologize, retract your statement, leave the place, walk away, or do whatever APPROPRIATE, do it and have your peace of mind.

Remember, IN ALL THY HAVING, HAVE PEACE TOO.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For you are like tombs that have been whitewashed, which look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything impure. Just so, you also outwardly seem to people to be just and upright but inside you are full of pretense and lawlessness and iniquity.” – Matthew 23:27-28 AMP

Stay Blessed.

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
