Many people think that when you are saved, and Holy Spirit filled that is all. That is NOT all my darling. It is now that the work has just began: Does parenting end once you give birth? No! Actually, that is the beginning of parenting. It is in the same vain I am telling you that you have to work your salvation with fear and trembling. It is easy to fall, but more difficult to maintain your stand.

Like a light bulb with some dust or dirt around it, the light bulb may keep shinning, but at what intensity? Obviously at a lower intensity. Why? Is the light bulb malfunctioning? No! Then why isn’t it shining bright? Its low brightness is all due to the dirt/dust surrounding the bulb.

Don’t think that the Word of God in you is magic?

            Don’t think that you become untouchable once you accept Christ? Actually, you become the very target for Satan: Your light shines so bright that it hurts his eyes, so he tries to find ways and means to block your light. And how does he do this? Through many ways. Some of his ways are documented in the Bible.

“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’” _ 1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV

“The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth CHOKE IT.” _ Matthew 13:22

There is a story been told about Rev. Kenneth Hagin where it was said that his friends invited him to a game, I think a gambling game or so, which he declined with the excuse that he didn’t bring his arms with him. They asked him, then what are those hanging from your shoulders, and he said to them that those weren’t his. He was replying them from the revelation of scripture in 1 Corinthians 6:15, which says, “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!”

Brethren, don’t take your salvation as a joke. See it as the light (Matthew 5:14) you carry, and due to its intensity, there are many enemies coming at it. These enemies, with the intention of destroying your light will come with enticing temptations. Don’t fall for any. They may come through your friends inviting you to a not-so-good place or situation; they could come with a deceitful ‘help’ to offer to you; they may come in the form of an obvious bad company; and they could also come in the form of worry, fear or anxiety (Matthew 10:26-33, Philippians 4:6). And they could also come in the form of comfort or riches of life (Matthew 19:24). Please be mindful! And Please be careful!

If you are spirit-led, or spiritually minded (Romans 8:6-10), you will be able to discern the tricks of the enemy: “In order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.” _ 2 Corinthians 2:11NIV

“When tempted, no-one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”_ James 1:13-15NIV

You ought to shine your light, and its brightness has to be high. Don’t allow any dirt (of pleasure _Ecclesiastes 2:11) or dust of evil desires diminish the intensity of your light.

That is NOT all after salvation. There is more you have to do. FIGHT your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-16 NIV).

The world will not stop doing evil (Social media intensity, movies vileness) in other for your light to shine. When evil increases in the world, that is when you should clean the surface of your bulb more (with righteousness) so that your light may shine bright through it, and reach a far.

There is HOPE, and that hope is YOU.
