MAN IS A SPIRIT, he has a soul, and lives in a body.

God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in the Spirit and in truth.

As man, your real self is your spirit. Comparing this to milk, the real thing is the milk (spirit) in the tin. The label (soul) is just a description of the milk, and the tin (body) is just a container. Where does much of the effort of production go? It is the milk or the label or the container? It is the milk itself. Like the label, container and the milk itself, they complement one another. But the milk rules them all. Without it, the label and the tin is not important. What happens then if all attention and time is spent on the label design, and tin, but not on the milk itself? The milk will get spoiled, or it will not be up to standard. Right? May I ask you another question; with beautiful label designs, and nice tin shape, should the milk inside be spoilt, will you, a customer purchase that milk? No? Exactly!

Stop wasting time on your body, as the expense of your spirit (first,) and your soul (second). Even in the Bible, God tells us that he wishes above all things that we may prosper and be in good health, as our soul prospers. How can your soul prosper if your spirit is corrupt? Your spirit is supposed to be saved by the LORD, and then by reading and meditating on the Word of God, your soul is transformed. Guess what happens next after this. Let’s read it in Joshua 1:8; “Keep this book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. THEN YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL.”

If you find yourself indulging more in earthly things, enjoying more of the earthly things, and neglecting the things of the spirit, be careful. That is a dangerous zone to be.

The things of God are spiritually discerned. And until you dwell with the Spirit, until you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, you will not be able to enjoy some levels in God. Imagine the earth as an imperfect place to be, and the Heavens as the perfect place to be which has the perfect life to give. Now, imagine the space between earth and the heavens as the journey of transition you have to take; from imperfection (earth, being human) to perfection (heavens, being divine). And this journey doesn’t require money as transport fare, but your spiritual input. Looking at how much work you have put into your spiritual walk, how far, between earth and the heavens do you think you would have gone? Rating your spiritual input, would you have even lifted a foot off the ground, or are you still standing?

Man, you are spirit. You are not body (humus-man), so quit putting too much importance and emphasis on the things of the flesh. How much time do you spend on social media? How much time do you spend chatting with friends? How much time do you spend doing house chores? And how much time do you spend sleeping? I am not insinuating that none of the above is important, but if the amount of time you spend doing each of the above is more than the time you spend being your spiritual self; praying, reading the Bible, communing with the Holy Spirit, having fellowship with God, reading Christian literature, going to church, evangelizing or being a living epistle in your neighborhood, then know that you are dying.

Where your treasure is, that is where your heart is. Where is your heart? Where have you invested much of your time, and energy and money? I tell you, being spiritual is the best decision you can ever make. Making it a beautiful habit of communing with the Lord out of a sense of relationship not religion is a peaceful journey: It builds you to see how empty this world, and the things in it are. When you live a spiritual life, you live your true self, as spirit. When you live in your spiritual self, you don’t force to be like Christ; it is automatic, because you are constantly fanning into flames the gift of God in you, and your faith is being built day by day, your understanding of God is being deepen, your perspective on things becomes wise and clear. I mean, I can go on and on. I have tasted, and seen, and I say, IT IS NOT DIFFICULT!

You know what, start this journey by making tongues speaking a habit, or a regular thing you do every day, and anywhere. It is your spirit who is praying; no effort from your intellectual self or your mind. You know what tongues do when we speak it, right? According to the scriptures in 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4, and 14, it says, “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies (charges) themselves… For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.” As you start speaking in tongues, either while doing your house chores, and or when you have dedicated a time to have your devotion with the LORD, add scripture reading to it; a step at a time. See the tongues speaking as drinking water, and the Bible reading as eating a meal: You need these daily right?

If you would, you could make it a habit of feeding your spirit man (read the Bible) three (3) meals a day as your body eats, and then drink water (speak in tongues) as much as you can. AS SIMPLE AS THAT. RIGHT?

When you make speaking in tongues a habit, your spirit is edified, your understanding about the scriptures deepens as your eyes are being opened day by day: You begin to live the true Christian life that God has admonished us to live, Love; you don’t force it from the outside in, but rather, it comes from the inside (your heart) out.

Begin to love spiritual things my dear. You are a spirit. Stop focusing on the things of the flesh; they will fade, or as already known, we will leave them all behind. Did you know that even in our deaths, we will be carrying our spirit with us? If this is the case, why don’t you put your treasures in your spirit man instead?

As your spirit man is being developed through the consistent reading of the scriptures, your soul is being transformed too through your obedience to the scriptures [Romans 12:2]. And as your body is just a container, it adapts to the shape of your spirit and soul.

Don’t let your body control you; your emotions, will, feelings, intellect, etc. Let your spirit (through the Holy Spirit) have the paramount control over your being.

Note: As I am saying that you should love spiritual things, I am not telling you to join the occult or become a witch or wizard. No! Water, Sprite, and fuel may all look alike, but it is their EFFECT on a plant (a living thing like you) which shows what it really is, and what it’s importance is. In the same way, occultism, Hinduism, Christianity and the likes may all look similar, but it is their effect on your spirit man which proves their worth or originality to you: If in spite of your spiritual inclination you still have fear, then it means you are in the wrong spiritual space (2 Timothy 1:7). If your spiritual inclination doesn’t produce love in your heart, healing for your body, strength for you when you are weak, hope in times of distress, etc, and you have to do everything on your own (be pious/religious), then you are not being taken care of by your spiritual inclination. Run to CHRIST (Christianity) now!

Often, people like to know every detail of Christianity before they believe, yet, without every details of the preparation of Paracetamol, man takes Paracetamol when he has headache, or any medicine at all when he has any ailment. Why? Because he BELIEVES it will cure him. Why does he “believe”? Because it worked successfully on somebody else, so he believes. Yet, that same person wouldn’t believe the Christian faith which has worked great things in the lives of millions of people.

We don’t see our intestines yet we know it is there, and it helps us with food digestion. We don’t see our hearts, but we believe that it is there and it is working. There are so many things in the world which man uses without knowing every details of it, yet man refuses to worship the one who created him with the excuse that some Christians are worse off. Well, why don’t you look at the other Christians who are better off and come to Christ? Or better still, why don’t you become the light those in this darkness (“Worse off Christians”) need?

Don’t neglect your creator now that you can’t ‘see’ him. Because when he shows you himself, you will see Truth, and there may be no time for repentance. Please Repent Now!

Please say this prayer after me if you are willing to give God a ‘try’ in your heart: “Lord Jesus, I thank you for having me in mind, and coming to earth to die for my sins. I thank you for bearing all my sins, and iniquities such that I will not be condemned anymore. I thank you for overcoming hell for my sake so that I wouldn’t have to go there. I confess all my sins, and wrongdoings to you, and I ask that please cleanse me and make me anew. Your Word says that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, and behold all things have become new. So I believe I am a new creation in you. My old sins don’t count anymore. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and personal savior. Sweet Holy Spirit, please come and live inside me, lead me on the path of righteousness, and help me to do the Will of God. Be my friend, advocate, counsellor, and helper. Thank you Father in the name of Jesus for saving me, and writing my name in the Book of Life. I praise your Holy Name in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen. ”

My dear, if you said this prayer, I want you to know that you are now God’s child. He is responsible for you, and will take care of you. Please try and read the scriptures daily so that you will know the Will of God for your life: “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the things which is good and acceptable and perfect [n His sight for you]. _ Romans 12:2 AMPC.”
