I was thinking and observing; “Why is the world this way? Why do some people act wicked?” And I was wondering what could be the answer. Then boom… the light shone: There is a lack of wisdom plaguing the world. Thus, lots of people don’t have wisdom.

You may defend, “Lots of people have wisdom. If they didn’t, we wouldn’t have experienced the many innovations we are seeing today, and the whole changes in the world.”

You have a point there, but the results of the things you mentioned is not as a result of wisdom, rather it is all knowledge, with insight, inspiration and motivation. That is all.

Wisdom comes from “digested understanding.” Understanding can only come when knowledge has been digested properly.

Many people in the world don’t have wisdom. They may have reserved knowledge from ‘experiences’, knowledge from school, or people’s mistakes, etc. that is all. No wisdom.

How can we get wisdom?

I wonder, if the Bible says that the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, you can imagine how many of us are unwise. Because lots of people don’t fear God. Even some claim he doesn’t exist. So how can they fear something which doesn’t exist? We need wisdom. And if the fear of God is the beginning of it, then we are really far behind. Wisdom is not old age. Old age is just a huge bucket of life experiences. That doesn’t equate wisdom. If we don’t fear the Lord, if our leaders don’t fear the Lord, they wouldn’t have the adequate wisdom needed to rule a nation. And guess what, many mistakes will be made today, which will be grievous and detrimental to generations unborn.

If the son of a God fearing man/king, David had to ask for wisdom before he ruled that same nation, you can imagine how much we have undermined wisdom.

If your papa isn’t saved, he lacks wisdom.

            If your mama isn’t saved, she lacks wisdom. All the plenty talks from her are just experiences.

                        If your friend isn’t saved, then don’t be surprised if he makes a hell of mistakes which beats your imaginations.

                                    If your hubby doesn’t fear God, know that there is no wisdom in the ‘head’. Sorry!

Being saved should equate fearing God, hence having wisdom. But in this day and age, being saved is like buying a face mask to put on, so that people will see you in a certain light, but not you actual self.

What it means to be saved is becoming a new creation. And the creator and sustainer of that new creation is God through His Word.

So should you take in the Word of God, desire it, and ‘eat’ it, you would grow thereby. The Word of God would teach you how to fear God. The Holy Spirit present in you (after you have invited him to come live in your life) will order your steps in God.

World, we need wisdom. Our world is so much in chaos. Man is becoming evilly selfish day by day. Money is ruling minds. Love is fading in the hearts of men. WE NEED WISDOM. Fear God now, and shun evil.

#the evils we see today are the results of the wisdom we lacked yesterday.
