So I was sitting at work and thinking; how could a dead person rise to life? How could someone who (scientifically) has his organs shut down come back to life with the body (and organs) functioning properly? That must be something else. Then I thought again, God did that. Jesus also did same. What is the secret?
This revelation of truth increased my faith: If God can raise a dead man back to life, then he can do all things. If God can raise up Jesus from death to life, then there is nothing impossible to Him. And if I believe Him, then there is nothing He can’t do. My mind may think the situation is beyond repairs, my heart may think same, doctors may confirm my ‘fears’, but if God raised a dead man (corpse, LIFEless being, not breathing being) to life (organs functioning, brain working in spite of lack of oxygen for 2 days) THEN HE CAN DO ANYTHING: “Genesis 18:14_ Is anything too hard for the LORD?”
God caused water to flow out of a ROCK: Is anything too hard for the LORD?
God caused a barren old woman (Sarah) to conceive a child: Is anything too hard for the LORD?
God caused a donkey to talk: Is anything too hard for the LORD?
God caused manna to fall from heaven: Is anything too hard for the LORD?
Let’s look at Jesus; he is our example. He is our blueprint of righteousness; he is our blueprint to the kingdom of God. What did he do while he was on earth? As human as he was, filled with the Holy Spirit like you and I, what did he accomplish? Yes, it is true that he is the Son of God, but in human form as Jesus, what did he accomplish? “Did I not tell you that if you BELIEVE, you will SEE the glory of God? So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may BELIEVE THAT YOU SENT ME. When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, LAZARUS, COME OUT! The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with stripes of linen, and a cloth round his face. Jesus said to them, TAKE OFF THE GRAVE CLOTHING AND LET HIM GO. John 11:40-44”
“Acts 10:38_ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, BECAUSE God was with him.”
“Luke 10:19 _ I have given YOU AUTHOURITY to trample upon snakes and scorpions and to overcome ALL the power of the enemy; NOTHING WILL HARM YOU.”
Jesus was like us; with flesh and bones. What he had more than the people of his days was the Holy Spirit. The people didn’t have the Holy Spirit upon them since Christ hadn’t been glorified yet. But since he has resurrected, and we are born again, and speak in tongues, we are filled with the Holy Spirit as much as Jesus. And Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit went to Lazarus tomb, and called him forth out of the tomb. Jesus didn’t have any strange power, neither did he have anything more than what we have now. Jesus had the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and faith. And with this, he called Lazarus back to life. That is fine, but what caused a dead man whose organs had shut down, and wasn’t working anymore to come alive with all those “sleeping” organs working now (alive)? “Mark 11:24_ For this reason I am telling you, WHATEVER you ask for in prayer, BELIEVE (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, AND YOU WILL [GET IT]”
“Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us AS IF by our own power or godliness we have made this man walk? … By FAITH in the NAME OF JESUS, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name AND the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see. Acts 3:12, 16 NIV”
“When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, ‘Look at us!’ So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, WALK! Taking him by the right hand he helped him up, and INSTANTLY the man’s feet and ankles became STRONG. Acts 3:3-7NIV”
Like the microphone, God can do anything. It is just left with you, the speaker to speak, and the IMPOSSIBLE will be made POSSIBLE “It is written: ‘I believe, therefore I have spoken. Since we have THAT SAME SPIRIT of Faith, We ALSO BELIEVE and therefore SPEAK! _ 2 Corinthians 4:13 NIV”
Conclusion:
- God can do anything: He brought a dead man (whose organs had shut down and were probably decomposing) back to life.
- He caused water to flow from a rock!
- He parted the Red Sea.
What more can’t He do?
What is your situation?
