According to the book of 2 Peter 3:13, there shall be a new heaven and a new earth.

If this is the case, then why are we hoarding stuff right here on earth when this ‘current’ earth will pass away?

If whatever you are pursuing on this ‘current’ earth is taking eternity away from you, it is NOT WORTH IT!

Look forward to the new heaven and the new earth (where righteousness dwells). This doesn’t mean that sit back, put your hands in between your thighs, be lazy and say you are waiting for the new earth. No!

Be yourself, pursue your interests, BUT make sure that none of those thing take eternity away from you. Make sure that none of those things let you fall from your secure position in Christ Jesus. Make sure that none of those things stain your spotless righteousness garment.
