Jesus died on the cross. He hanged there until he gave his last breath. Before he died, he prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know NOT what they do.”
He was buried in the tomb. After 3 days, he wasn’t found there: He had resurrected.
As Christians, we share in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ through water baptism: When we are immersed in the water, we are saying that we lay down our lives like Jesus did, and when we come out of the water, we say that we have embraced the new self, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The resurrected Christ is not limited. He is no longer limited by the human flesh: What the flesh couldn’t do, this resurrected self can.
Thus, this resurrected self is a victorious self. The defeating and weak self of the flesh has been laid down (in the tomb) and we have taken up the new self (the resurrected self). This self is guided by the Holy Spirit [we are not our own; but Christ lives in us].
However, there is something going on lately; instead of people leaving “their flesh” to rot away in the tomb, they go into the tomb once in a while to take the ‘corpse’, carry it on their shoulders, and sprinkle some ‘feel good’ water on it, yet NOT expecting that corpse to stink.
Pride smells. In the spirit realm, a prideful self stinks, because you are being vomited upon by demons (check out the Final Quest by Rick Joyner). Any deed of the flesh stinks (even though you ‘may feel good’ doing it in the moment) because it is a “corpse thing”. You are no more a corpse dear Christian. Please Note! The “corpse self, the flesh” is a fallen self. You don’t belong there. It belongs to the tomb; to rot and get lost.
Burn your flesh on the altar. All of it. Don’t leave any piece out. Because that little “unburnt” flesh can and will destroy all of you (your good self) making you stink all over:
What is a pastor who drinks?
What is a singer who masturbates?
What is a friend who backbites?
Sacrifice EVERYTHING on the cross of Jesus.
Anything of the flesh doesn’t make you pretty. Deeds of the flesh are against the Spirit (Galatians 5:17). You need to embrace the Spirit filled life. That is where there is no limitations. That is where you meet Christ in His full Glory. God is Spirit, and they that worship him MUST worship Him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
Deeds of the flesh; selfishness, greed, hate, etc may feel good in the moment (cold water on a corpse), but no matter how little the deed may be in your eyes, they make you STINK.
Jesus sacrificed the flesh on the cross. Please Do Same!
Christ is resurrected. Resurrect too from your fleshy self of weakness.
Heaven is yours.
Possibilities are yours.
The earth is yours, and the fullness there of because you are a heir of God.
Ye are gods [Psalm 82:6]
Galatians 5:17, 19-21_ “For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. ”.
