“How do you know if you are well equipped for a battle coming up?”

When faced with a battle, you go to it with all your tools and armor to fight. You don’t surrender when you know that you have what it takes TO FIGHT, and WIN.

These tools you have aren’t gained when the battle is on. Rather, they are purchased/obtained way before a battle happens. A person trains with it as if he is in war, in other to equip himself for any battle.

Should there even be no battle, such a person knows that he is protected from any enemy because he has trained himself to fight.

But what happens when one has no tools, or isn’t equipped with his tools, or even gives up? The result is one; he either dies, or becomes a slave of the opponent. Is that what you would want?

I know that you don’t like battles, but as long as we are on the surface of this planet called Earth, battles are inevitable. So instead of grumbling, rather use your energy to keep yourself prepared and strengthened.

When you face a challenge, whether big or small, try to go into yourself, bring out some tools which you may find, and face the challenge in front of you. Don’t always allow yourself to freeze, or run. No! If the challenge has come to you, in spite of you not liking it and wishing it never came, face it HEAD ON. Face it with wisdom: Own it, and claim victory from it.

Don’t always run, else you will never stop running, and this world wouldn’t be fun for you to live in. It will feel like a pressure cooker for you every day. No! We don’t like that. Conquer your fears once and for all. DO WHAT YOU FEAR MOST!

Sometimes, you wouldn’t know what you have inside of you until you try to overcome a challenge. Yes!

You may always be cautious around THE POOL OF LIFE, but should someone mistakenly, or even intentionally or playfully push you into the pool, I don’t think it would be wise to play the blame game, and allow yourself to drown! No! You HAVE TO live. YOU MATTER!

So, even though you don’t know how to swim… yet, for life’s sake, you would try hard to find a way. And guess what you would have gained after you have saved your own life? You would have become a good swimmer, or even better, a risk swimmer _ if there is a word like that. Hope you get me?

Challenge yourself. Sometimes assume that you are the ONLY one here on earth. If this was true, how would you have overcome the challenge you are facing?

Do you know what cripples us? The Hope of an Option.  It is because we think we have options or can reach out to somebody or something, we don’t look within ourselves to tap into the well of goodness in us. We would rather ask somebody instead, equipping them at the detriment of our capabilities and potentials. How cruel can we be to our own selves?

We weaken ourselves with laziness, complains and blames. If you had no option than to survive, or make it, I am sure you would have unraveled the beast in you.

Your capability is like a muscle. If you don’t work it, YOU WOULD LOSE IT. If you don’t challenge it, YOU MAY LOSE ITS “ELASTICITY”. If you don’t push yourself to higher heights, you may NEVER know that you are an EAGLE, while you have been comfortable all these years playing chicken.

#Let me leave you with this; The Bible says in Proverbs 24:10 that if you FAINT in the day of adversity, YOUR STRENGTH IS SMALL.

#YES, YOU CAN!

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
