What do you do when you can’t see God?

What do you do when God seems quiet at the “wrong time”?

What do you do when you can’t physically shake God into action like the way you would want to?

What do you do when you are all alone?

Well, you would have to run to the Word. I know this may sound like a religious cliché but it is the truth. After all, we have run out of options. Haven’t we? We wouldn’t even dare to be like Jonah, and plan an ‘escape’ outside the Will of God, because we may end up in a whale’s stomach (worse situation).

What do you do when situations and problems force you into silence?

You would have to listen to the Word more. Your past confessions, and faith in the Word would be tested; “Did you really mean it when you said God is good the other time?”

Let me tell you this, when the teacher is quiet, it could be because it’s examination time, and you are sitting for this exams, and the teacher trusts you to deliver. He believes he has taught you well enough to your understanding, and believes he has given you the necessary tools to triumph [Luke 10:19]. The teacher believes that you are one of his brilliant students. He tells the devil, “Watch her pass this test with flying colors, and I would reward her a double portion for all her troubles after she has come out.”

Like Job, let’s strive to remain faithful in our tests and trials. I know it is hard, I know you feel helpless right now, and your only hope, God, seems to be quiet at the ‘wrong time’. But hey, “Heaven and Earth (including your troubles) shall pass away, but the Word (of God) shall not pass away.” Let’s us prove to the world, let us show the large crowd of witness surrounding us that God is good in our good days, and even during our bad days. Let’s show them that we are NOT fair weather Christians, but loyal and faithful Christians who will still choose their God even if they were bleeding in pain.

Just as God doesn’t change, so should our faith in Him not change irrespective of the circumstances around.

Yes, I am crying right now, I am in terrible pain, my pain has overwhelmed me into silence. Yes, I need help nowwwww… but I am going to trust and obey God. Even in my pain, heaven is still the go, and I am still a Christian who loves God, so I am going to obey him. This is my unchanging love and loyalty to him.

If I forsake God because of my pain, where else do I go? Satan (who hates humanity including me)? The world (which is dark and needs my light shone)?or where? Where else do I have to go? Like Peter we have left everything to follow Jesus [Luke 18:28].

Let’s CLING to the solid rock of the Word (Christ). Let’s REST in Him. After all, we seem helpless and incapable right now. Could we let the Faithful God prove himself then? Could we put Him in remembrance by quoting His Word back to him? Could we tell him that He has said in His Word that we humans are worth much more than sparrows whom he feeds all the time?

Remember, IF you faint in the day of adversity, then your strength is small [Proverbs 24:10 AMP].

Stay Blessed!

            Stay Alive!

                        Stay strong!!

We can do this! Yes WE CAN!!

Push through sweetheart. REMEMBER: “What doesn’t KILL you ONLY makes you STRONGERRRR.”

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
