Why do we need pastors?
Anybody can read the Bible on his own, and with the help of the Holy Spirit get some revelations from it.
But the pastor has been anointed for his office by God. And as a pastor, he is a shepherd.
He’s the shepherd of God’s sheep (the church; Psalm 23:1). And as a shepherd, he has to feed, and water the sheep.
By his office, he has been given the knowledge (and anointing) to do the job.
So no matter how much you read the Bible, and even understand it, you’ll still need your pastor to bring you God-cooked revelations: Timely revelations given to him by God for us all.
For instance, the eunuch in the Bible tried reading the Bible but couldn’t really understand the scriptures. It took the assistance of Philip (the anointed Man of God) led by the Spirit of God to teach him till he understood. And after he had understood he went ahead to get baptized.
Our pastors (shepherds) are REALLY IMPORTANT.
