“Why can’t my pastor heal?”
Have you ever asked yourself why your general doctors don’t perform surgeries? And is it every time you go to see the surgeon when you need medical aid?
There is a time and a place for everything, and so is there a person for everything. Your pastor may not heal, but he might have great in depth revelation of the Word of God which he can give to you. He might have the ability to create great worship atmosphere, and invite the presence of God. This too, he can teach you.
Maybe, like your general doctor, your pastor is there to diagnose you spiritually, and direct you to the particular surgeon you need to see. This doesn’t mean the surgeon (healer/miracle worker) is greater or better than the general doctor (your pastor).
Without the doctor, you may not know which surgeon to visit or which predicament you should address.
Appreciate your pastors, pray for them, and quit running to spiritual surgeons always; you will overwhelm them with too much work such that they will break.
The surgeon NEEDS the general doctor, and so does the miracle worker NEEDS the Word’s Shepherd (the Pastor).
Appreciate your pastors. I say, “Appreciate Them.”
