The forbidden fruit was sin, not sex. God created sex. However, he didn’t create sexual immorality (perversion).

Did you know that the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden was actually sin? It was a symbol of sin. What is sin?

Sin is anything contrary to the WORD of God.  If the Word of God says something or gives an instruction, any opinion which comes against it is sin. The word of God said, “The day you shall eat the of the fruit of this tree, you shall surely die.” Sin said, “Eat the fruit. You won’t die. Rather, you will be wiser like God.”

Did Adam and Eve die? Romans 6:23NIV _ “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” [Romans 6:23NIV]

Adam and Eve surely died. Like the devil, they might have thought God meant physical death. But as a Spirit being as God is, He meant Spiritual death (separation from Him, lack of Peace and joy, emptiness, unfulfillment, etc.). Adam and Eve surely died.

Notice that the forbidden fruit was in the MIDDLE of the Garden of Eden. Why? Being in the middle, it means that wherever Adam and Eve pass, they will see this forbidden tree. Surely, there were good and permitted trees AROUND this forbidden tree they could eat from, but they weren’t supposed to eat from the FORBIDDEN TREE.

What am I trying to tell you? It shouldn’t surprise you anymore that everywhere you pass, you see sin. Like the forbidden fruit, sin is in the MIDDLE of the world. And just like the forbidden fruit, it has been ‘packaged’ to look enticing and trick you into thinking that participating in it will give you something ‘better’.

Just as Christ is Peace, anything outside Him is Chaos.

            Just as Christ is Light, anything outside Him is Darkness.

                        Just as Christ is Wisdom, anything outside Him is foolishness.

Let’s read something from Genesis 3:2-4, 6 NIV _ “The woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did SAY, ‘You MUST NOT eat fruit from the tree that is in the MIDDLE of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’’ ‘You will not certainly die,’ the serpent said to the woman… When the woman saw (lust of the eye) that the fruit of the tree was good for food (body) and pleasing to the eye (the flesh), and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.”

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone who loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” [1 John 2:15-17 NIV]

Anything which goes contrary to the Word of God no matter how ‘reasonable/easy’ it seems IS SIN. “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and eery pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it OBEDIENT TO CHRIST.” [2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NIV]

	GOD SAYS	SIN SAYS
1	…you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die. [Gen 2:17]	You will not certainly die. For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
2	Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price (the death of Jesus). Therefore, HONOUR God with your bodies. [1 Corinthians 6:18-20].	Your body, your choice.
3	Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. [Matthew 5:44]	Tit for tat.
4	Honour your father and your mother so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.	You are grown too. So do whatever you want.
5	Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is true and proper worship. [Romans12:1 NIV]	Your body, your choice.
6	Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. [Romans12:2 NIV]	The world is fun. Do everything you want, just don’t hurt anybody.

Do you see the pattern here? Everything God says, the world tries to promise something ‘better’. But that ‘better thing’ is actually a TRAP to steal your peace, joy, happiness, and your Garden of Eden. It is a trap to ensnare us into the hardship of the world (STDs, emptiness, unfulfillment, chaos, sicknesses, unproductivity, hatred, loneliness, etc).

Now, it is up to you: Death (life with the devil) and life (Life with Christ) are presented before you. I hope you choose life. I hope you don’t depend on your emotions and say life is boring. No matter how glamourous the devil tries to package death, death (life with the devil) CAN NEVER BE FUN.

“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” [Matthew 16:26 NIV]

Life with the devil will cause you to end up in Hell (where he, the devil is heading). Life with Christ will bring you into His glory, heaven (where He dwells). You choose!

Seeing what happened to Adam and Eve after they ate the forbidden fruit, with this revelation, ARE YOU STILL GOING TO CLOSE YOUR EYES, AND EAT THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT AGAIN? Choose Life!
