Many secular people think that the lifestyle they portray, Christians can’t do same. No! That is incorrect. Christians can actually do same, and even more. But what prevents them from participating in that secular, and empty lifestyle is the garment of righteousness they are wearing.

Let me ask you, if you were in a white expensive gown, would you attempt to fight someone who offended you? Would you jump into a pond just to play and have fun? Absolutely not. And before someone thinks that the garment is restricting you, let me tell you that it’s not restricting you. Rather, it is shaping you. It’s transforming your mindset.

You hear lawyers say that they can’t get drunk or be seen fighting aggressively in public because they are now lawyers. Look at this. Would you say this is a restriction? No! If a profession expects this particular character/conduct, how much more your life?

Secular people think that they are the only smart people on earth. But wisdom is the principal thing; wisdom is more precious than gold.

If I have wisdom, money is nothing. With wisdom, you can make the best out of even a little money. But with much money, it is very hard to come by or even contain the smallest wisdom.

Look, I can twerk if I want to, I can dance to those secular songs and make content, I can sleep with rich old men for money, I mean I can do all those stuffs. Besides, am I not on earth too? Can’t I learn if I want to? But No! The precious garment of faith wouldn’t allow me.

I love my Jesus too much to willingly break any of his commandments. He said, “IF you LOVE me, KEEP my COMMANDMENTS.” The opposite will be, “IF you DON’T LOVE me, DON’T KEEP my COMMANDMENTS.” In other words, “IF YOU DON’T LOVE ME, DO AS YOU WILL, without CONSIDERING ME.”

This is how love speaks. And this is what even spoke in the Garden of Eden; “Hey, here are fruit trees for your good. But don’t eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (this is my command). Because the day you eat it, you shall die (separated from me).”

That was it. Simple! “Choose me if you love me.” That was what God was implying. But choose your pleasures (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil), and you will be without me (die).

Hey, I can be a prostitute, I can be a pimp, I can suck the man’s money dry, I can steal, I can lie, I can cheat, I can manipulate, I can dabble in witchcraft, I can do all the evils in the world too. BUT I WILL NOT! Why? Because the Garment of Christianity on me (the blood of Jesus) is too precious for me to dishonour it with VANITIES.

The garment of Christianity shapes my ideology, and mindset.

You are not wiser than me, nor richer than me. I can do the diabolical things you do for money, but “what shall it profit a man TO GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, and lose his soul?”

Are you richer than Kanye? Yet, Kanye is seeking salvation. I have salvation.

Are you richer than Kanye West? Yet, he would love to have a peaceful home with his wife and kids. I have a peaceful home with my husband and children. In fact, I play with my kids without paparazzi in my ass. I have peace, I have contentment, I have joy, I have love. What more can I ask for?

If you are doing what you do for money without God, then I will rather choose to be poor as long as I have Jesus.

The Bible says, “Do not fret because of evildoers or be envious of the wicked, for the evildoer has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.” [Prov. 24:19-20NIV]

With this scripture, why should I be jealous of you when you are prospering without God?

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate THE ONE and love the other, or you will be devoted to THE ONE and despise the other. YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD (the one) AND MONEY.” [Matthew 6:24 NIV]

Of course, this doesn’t mean that serving God is a sentence to poverty. No! He created the world, and you are renting it. So, if I am serving the landlord, who says I will be broke?

The cattle on a thousand hills are God’s [Psalm 50:10]. He walks on streets of gold. Money ain’t shit to Him.

It’s just that he doesn’t want you to love money. If you do, you will cheat on him with money. You can’t love God and money. God is jealous like that. He has everything you need. But if you allow the devil to deceive you that there is “a better” somewhere outside God, then you will lose God while trying to get ‘your better’.

God wants you to love Him in riches or in lack. Like Shadrack and his friends, God wants you to say to your friends, “Even if God doesn’t save me, I will NOT bow down to your image/idol of money.” [Daniel 3:18]

And note this, some of us will try to be like white-washed tombs; Christian on the outside (especially to outsiders), but worldly on the inside (in our hearts). But you should remember that God created you, and your mind. He knows every thought of your mind and heart. You may succeed in deceiving people that you are good Christian man, when you are actually gay, but you can’t deceive God. He knows your heart. He knows you. HE CREATED YOU.

Now, to conclude, let me tell you this, starting a journey on the right path is BETTER than going far on the wrong path.

Revelation 3:15-16_ “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
