Known, but not known.
what does the Holy Bible imply when He says that bad company corrupts good morals?
Do you have morals?
Are they good?
If they are, then should you associate yourself with people who have bad morals, your good morals will be corrupted.
Thus, all the hard work you have put into yourself to have those good morals will be in vain.
“And so? Who cares?” someone may defend.
Well God cares. And He doesn’t care about it for himself. He cares about it for you.
Bad company may seem ‘sweet’, but it’s like a snake; it will hiss (‘sweet melodies’) and then bite you (‘kill you through poison’).
Don’t get your good morals poisoned?
Don’t get them corrupted.
They are your covering. They are a shield.
When you are good, you shine.
When you are good (keeping the commandments of God), you invite the glorious presence of God.
Sin, bad company, and the likes all come to steal from you, kill and destroy you.
They will steal your peace, your sanity, your safety, your zeal, your life, and your vision.
Don’t say that you are just having fun. And don’t say that you are just escorting them to the club but won’t participate. What does light and darkness have in common?
If you are God’s, represent him.
If you are God’s, create his presence around you.
If you are God’s, be holy as He is Holy.
Stop giving excuses, and stop being too nice. The devil isn’t nice. He came to steal, kill and destroy you. And if it means using your bad friends to get you corrupted, then he would.
The Bible is God’s words, his breath. Don’t take it lightly. If he says something, it is eternal. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but his word shall not pass away.
So if he tells you that, “bad company corrupts good morals”, then your good morals will be corrupted if you keep associating with bad folks. Don’t think you are too strong.
Because he who thinks he is stand should take heed LEST HE FALLS.
Obey God and flee from sin.
That your friend, I know you love him. But don’t associate with him. I am not saying be mean to him. I am saying that don’t become emotionally interconnected with him, lest you fall.
The truth, “Bad company corrupts good morals” is just like entering a room for the first time. Should there be a foul smell inside that room, you will perceive it quickly. But should you stay (keep company) in that room for a long while, you will become used to that smell that you may even perceive again EVEN THOUGH IT IS STILL THERE.
Note: Heaven is the Goal. Earth is the passage. Have a good trip.
