[“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Matthew 6:24]
Often, when Christians are preaching about money, those in the world think, “that is why Christians are ‘poor’…. Lol”
When we talk about money, we are not talking about the usual, but the unusual.
The unusual is, loving money, doing anything to get money, doing everything in the name of money.
We all go to our jobs to work for money to provide for our daily needs like, food, electricity, water etc. Without water we cannot bath, without toothpaste and toothbrush our natural teeth will be rotting, without food we will be hungry. These are all social/basic needs that money is needed for.
But when I talk about the unusual aspect of money, I am talking about doing stuff (going to the extremes) for money’s sake.
How?
Let’s do this Yay or Nay game to find out. Would you?
You will tell me if the following are done out of Love (Christ) or hate (money) or just out of the want for basic needs:
1. When you lie to be promoted….Yay or Nay?
2. When you sleep with men for money.
3. When you drug and rob men.
4. When you sacrifice your friend or family to an occult for blood money.
5. When you neglect friends’ opinion for yours.
6. When you dangerously over speed on the road just to get to your destination earlier.
7. When you give false information about your products on the market.
8. When you deceive people in an Advertisement.
9. When you falsify expiry dates of a product to the detriment of the consumers.
10. When you steal a car from the government.
11. When you don’t work, but lazy about at work and still demand salary.
12. When you pilfer government money/ company’s money for self.
13. When you hinder the promotion of a worker or a colleague at work.
14. When you add water to fuel to increase the amount to the total harm of buyers.
15. When you pump air instead of fuel into the car of a buyer. Etc etc.
We see from the above listed examples that, people who partake in these kind of deals are just greedy and evil: They have no love but hate.
And worse of it is, should a Christian who serves God (God is Love) be involved in any of these acts, he has no excuse to give than to accept the fact that he is not a Christian (born again).
Love makes the world simple and a cool place to live in, but when we allow money to rule (love for money), we cannot see peace but chaos everywhere as it is now.
Mixing water with fuel and selling it to consumers /buyers will only lead to loss of lives and properties.
Pumping air instead of fuel into a car will only increase the cost of living of a person.

Should we all decide to change our world by first changing ourselves, no matter how far the world has gone into darkness, light shall appear.

A murderer needs love.
A rapist needs love as well as the others.
Love them, Give love, Let’s CHOOSE CHRIST.

Don’t be too diplomatic about Christ. Just give him a chance and see. Gideon in the Bible did same to God and he saw for himself the power of God.
Allow God who created the world to rule it. Don’t pin disasters on him because he cannot be tempted and he also tempts no one. [James 1:13-16]
