Can you be a friend of God? YES YOU CAN.
Looking at our world today, if you want to make someone your friend, what do you do?
Do you ‘serve’ the person? Do you do things that the other person likes just to win his favor/consideration?
That is same with God but even easier with Him.
ALL THAT GOD NEEDS FROM MAN IS FOR MAN TO KNOW HIM, IS FOR MAN TO MAKE AND HAVE TIME FOR HIM, AND IS FOR MAN NOT TO BE TOO BUSY FOR HIM.
He is not saying be jobless and stay at home staring into the skies or ceiling.
All that he is saying is that, after you have gone through your agenda for the day, please make/squeeze some time for him. He just needs that COMMITMENT from you. He doesn’t mind if it is just 10 minutes every day, so far as it is consistent and from a clean soul/heart, He will appreciate.
He doesn’t want to have a huge dinner with you once in a long time.
He will appreciate some snacks from you every day, and whenever you are ready to throw a dinner for him, he is available to attend.
Building a relationship with God may seem like a long term goal which may not happen now or anytime soon, but being friends with him can start now, on your own terms; 10 minutes a day; every day, he wouldn’t mind, but desires some CONSISTENCY, because he doesn’t want to be left missing you too much without knowing when you will come back.
Don’t try to impress him, JUST BE YOURSELF and CONSISTENT.
He loves you.
You are a Friend of God.
