The richest man in Africa is poorer than the richest man in USA.
It is all Vanity.

You see man striving to get more of everything; more of Facebook likes, more of YouTube views, more of followers, more money, more cars, more/bigger houses… etc
You realize that, you with let’s say 1000 likes envy the one with 10,000 likes. The one with 10,000 is striving hard to hit a Million likes.
What does this produce?
It produces no appreciation and enjoyment of every stage of life.
Man needs not compare himself to anyone, not even the one below/lower than him nor the one higher than him.
Just be you.
Love what you do.
Even if you don’t get any likes but just 10 views, you should be happy that you are living, and not just existing because you were born.
Men strive and struggle a lot. Putting themselves under so much unnecessary stress.
Enjoy every stage of your life!
If you are sleeping outside without a roof over your head and you can genuinely help yourself get a roof over your head, please do.
Should you have a roof and now needs food, work for it.
Let’s look at Maslow’s Theory.
5. Self actualization

4. Self Esteem

3. Belongingness

2. Security

1.Basic Needs (Food)
According to Abraham Maslow, man’s first need is his basic needs; food, clothing, water etc.
Then security, belongingness, self-esteem and then Self-actualization (you’ve reached).
Set a realistic goal for yourself. Don’t set an outrageous goal for yourself which will deprive you from enjoying any fruit of your labor just because, you haven’t reached/hit your target yet.
The man with $10 million in his account is poor to the man with $20 million in his account.
The $20 million person is poor to the one with $50 million. But all in all, they are all richer than the one without food nor shelter.
What am I saying?
Be content with what you have/where you are; be it small or more. Just work hard to better your current situation if you can, but don’t allow your hard work to be to the detriment of your own happiness.
Enjoy what you sow and reap.
Don’t work work and die, only to leave everything to someone who didn’t work or worked little to achieve.
ALL IS VANITY.
King Solomon in the Bible had it all, but he as a wise man (the wisest man on Earth) says, “ALL IS VANITY”; it is like chasing the Wind.
Don’t chase the Wind, Breathe the Wind (air).
There is no rich man buried in the skies.
Every rich man together with the poor are all buried in the ground without any of their houses or whatsoever going with them.
Don’t heap levels of frustrations for yourself.
Live your life in enjoyment and in wisdom.
[The Beginning of Wisdom = The fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10)]
Stay Blessed.
#Genuinely strive to get better each time, but don’t let this desire catch you in a web of frustration where you will not be able to appreciate your progress or baby steps to greatness.
Don’t compare yourself to anyone. You can admire the height someone has reached, but keep originality by BEING YOU, and appreciating every move you make, even your faitlures.
Hope you understand please?
Stay Blessed.

L for Love.

Quote of the week

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
