Why does the rich want to get richer?
Why are the ‘have it all’ aren’t having it all?
What at all is satisfying?
How can we be satisfied and happy with what we have, and enjoy the life we’ve got?

The rich wants to get richer. The wicked is getting more wicked, even with punishments. Why?
I will tell you.

All these things we see here on earth are all dust: Wickedness, Wealth, Riches, etc. They are all on earth, and from earth.

Because man was formed from the dust of the earth, he would want these things (they relate). But satisfaction doesn’t come from these things.

Being satisfied is different from having.

Let’s look at the dictionary definitions of these two words shortly:
Satisfaction: 1. A fulfilment of a need or desire. 2. The pleasure obtained by such fulfilment. 3. The source of such gratification.
Fulfilment: the state or quality of being fulfilled; completion; realization
Fulfil: To emotionally or artistically satisfy.

Having: something owned; possession; goods; estate.
Own: to have rightful possession of… To claim as one’s own; to answer to.

When we look at these definitions, we can see that having is like looking after one’s possession, but with satisfaction, the possession or desire could not be one’s own, but meeting it makes you happy.

Right, let’s go on.

Why isn’t man fulfilled or satisfied with his state no matter how far he goes?

Maslow told us that, man has 5 category of needs, which are; Basic needs, Security, Belongingness, Self-esteem, and with Self-actualization being on the top of the pyramid.

With his pyramid of needs, it can be said that, many people have basic needs, but a few people have actually reached self-actualization which the 5th need have man.

I don’t think anybody would argue with me if I say that those few people who have reached self-actualization aren’t all happy or fulfilled as they should be, even though they are a dream to the one still struggling with basic needs.

The underlining reason why man is not fulfilled is because man is not flesh.

Man is spirit covered in a body/flesh.

Because we are on earth and can’t walk around in our spirit form, the body covers us and aids us to live on earth.

Just as an astronaut can’t go to the moon with shirt and trousers but has to wear a costume, it is the same way that man can’t be in spirit and walk around on earth: We need an earth costume, and that is the body we have.

Now, this body has needs; it eats, it baths, etc.

But giving the body a good life would not be fulfilling if the spirit of the man who is man himself is neglected.

People spend hours making up and still don’t feel beautiful, or better still, feel beautiful only for the time being; while the make-up is on.

To get true satisfaction, it is when the spirit is satisfied.

And with the spirit, I don’t mean any spirit at all. I mean the spirit from the creator; the one who made man and breathed his spirit into him.

The spirit can get satisfied when its mission on earth is fulfilled.

What is the spirit’s mission on earth?

The spirit’s mission varies per person.
The mission of the spirit of man is man’s purpose on earth: What is your purpose? Why were you put on earth for a time as this, and not before or after this time? What makes you come alive with joy when you do it?

It was God who created us and put his spirit in us. So until we are connected to him in body, mind and soul, we will never get satisfied.

It is with this knowledge that manufacturers or companies produce latest version of everything they make. Why?

Because they know that man would not be satisfied.

A man would have a car, but would still sell it for another.

Why?

Because he can’t get enough of the cars: that is a fleshy thought.

Your contentment or completion should come from God.
If you live outside of the spirit, you will never be satisfied.

No matter the number of cars a person may have at home, the promotion at work, the nice and beautiful houses he owns, he will never be satisfied. He would be wanting more to get that satisfaction click (That little ‘e’): something would seem missing.

That missing something is God.

Those who are already connected to God in diligence are happy.

In fact nothing in this world can make man happy, but God. When man has God, he wouldn’t mind owning those cars and properties, but those properties wouldn’t own or define him.
These people are defined by God and owned by him.

Nothing of the world satisfies!

If you have a chance to have fun, see that as an opportunity to while away time, but don’t think that that is going to make you happy for life [Ecclesiastes 2].

There is a difference between satisfaction and happiness.

Happiness is dependent on happenings at the moment or moments past, but satisfaction is contentment, happiness and peace within one’s self.

Don’t try to seek happiness in boyfriends or men, they are not God.

Go to God; give him his place, and he will rule to where his boundary reaches (boundless).

Anything you put in place or give it authority to make you happy or satisfied would fall, because satisfaction is from the Spirit, and the spirit is from God.

Therefore, the satisfaction click is from the spirit of man not from the flesh or what a person has.
It is having a genuine life in God, a good relationship with him, and pursuing one’s purpose on earth.
Anything outside this bracket is possession or brings possession, but NOT fulfillment!
