How do I get this faith thing straight? Because scripturally, it seems God has already provided all things for our good. But it seems we are the ones tripping at receiving. And since the only way to receive is by FAITH, how do I get this faith subject straight. WHAT IS FAITH ABOUT?

[Luke 7:7,9 _ “That is why I didn’t even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the WORD, and my servant will be healed… When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such GREAT FAITH even in Israel.” _ ]

[Luke 7:49-50 _ “The other quests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” Jesus said to the woman, “YOUR FAITH has saved you; go in peace.” ]

[Hebrews 11:1 _ Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.] How?

[Hebrews 11:6 _ And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.]

What is all these faith stuff? Do I have it? How do I get it? How do I use it? What is it at all?

When most of wants us to understand faith, we quote the scripture in Hebrews 11:1. That is okay and accurate, but without revelation, this scripture about faith would just be a group of words.

What is faith? How do we get faith? What is the root or source of faith? How is our faith anything pleasing to the Lord?

By God’s grace, the Lord has given us a revelation into this famous scripture in the book of Hebrews.

Let’s take the scripture in Luke 7:7 and 9 _ That is why I didn’t even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the WORD, and my servant will be healed… When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such GREAT FAITH even in Israel.”  Why did the centurion believe that should Jesus speak a Word, his servant will be healed? The answer to this is found in the same book of Luke which says, “For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go’, and he goes; and that one, ‘Come’, and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this’, and he does it.”

From this scripture, the centurion was trying to tell Jesus that he understands his hierarchy of authority and power over anything including sickness.

Brethren, let me tell you this, “Faith is not your religious feeling of knowing that God can do something.” Because sometimes you may believe that God can do something, but your ‘feelings’ are not allowing you to ‘accept’ your faith.

Let’s take Hebrews 11:1 from the Amplified Bible for more clarity: “Hebrews 11:1 _ NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what  is not revealed to the senses].”

The Amplified Bible has done a good job with this scripture; the assurance, proof of things not seen, the title deed is all referring to the word of God concerning our requests.

If you are ill and wants to believe God for healing, you don’t have to ‘feel’ healed, or try to get some ‘faith-feelings’ about being healed. No! Your ‘NOW FAITH’ is to find out in the Bible what it (He) says about healing. If you find out that He says in His Word that by his stripes YOU WERE healed, then you know that healing has been given already in the spirit realm, because he says, “You were”, not ‘you will be, or it is going to happen.’ He says you were healed (past tense). And if it is past tense, CLAIM it into your present, so that you can receive your healing. That is, ‘I claim healing for my body IN JESUS’ NAME. Amen.’

Now, someone may ask, ‘What if it doesn’t happen?’ To answer your question, let me ask you this; ‘Among you, God and Satan, who is likely to lie? Is it you, the devil, or God?’

With the devil, we know that he is the father of lies (that is, he speaks no truth, and can’t speak any truth because there is no truth in him), with You, you know that you have lied before or are possible to tell a lie. Now, with God, we know that he created the world with his Word, and the world exist till today; also, His Word says that he is not a man that he should lie, or a son of man that he should change his mind.

Among you, the devil and God, you know that it is you, and the devil who can lie, but God can’t and wouldn’t lie.

If he says by his stripes you WERE healed, it means that healing for any disease is in the realm of the Spirit for you. All you have to do is to claim that healing for your body, and believe that God is truthful and faithful to perform.

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it._ John 14:13-14”

All you have to do is to claim, ask, or rebuke anything IN THE NAME OF JESUS. The centurion understood the authority of Jesus, and that authority is still at work in us today, and in his name: You don’t need to feel it, or know it all. Just believe!

Jesus said this to Jairus in Luke 8:50 when he was told not to trouble Jesus because his sick daughter was now dead; Don’t be afraid; Just believe, and she will be healed. And his dying daughter was raised from the dead for sure.

BELIEVING IS ACCEPTING THAT WHAT GOD HAS SAID IS TRUE AND WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE HE IS ABLE TO PERFORM WHAT HE SAYS.

You may believe and have faith, but should your mind be telling you something else per what you see or hear or feel, what will you do?

This is what you should do: “Without weakening his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead- since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. YET he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. That is why ‘it was credited to him as righteousness.’ _ Romans 4:19-22”

Also, “Hebrews 11:1 _ NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what  is not revealed to the senses].”

What your faith is believing for hasn’t yet been revealed to your senses. So your senses finds it difficult to accept. That is fine. Your senses only approves of things it sees, hears, feels, tastes, or smells. Until those things are in existence, it can’t ‘believe or approve’ them. This means that you can’t believe with your senses, because faith says you have to believe before you see.

The long and short of the whole matter is that, believe what you read in the Bible; it is God speaking, and God doesn’t lie.

Should your problem be ‘demonic’ rebuke it IN JESUS’ NAME: “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (demons) and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Satan); nothing will harm you.” _Luke 10:19.

[Mark 16:17-18 _ “And these signs will (definitely happen) accompany those who believe; IN MY NAME they will drive out demons (yes, you can!); they will speak in NEW tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Note here that we are talking about faith, not about ‘testing God (Matthew 4:5-7)’.]

[Mark 11:22-24 _ “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea”, and does NOT DOUBT in his HEART (not head/devil) but believes that what he says WILL HAPPEN, it will be DONE FOR HIM. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have (already) received it, and IT WILL BE YOURS.]

THE CONCLUSION: Once God has said it in his Word, believe it, and hold on to it. That is your substance of things hoped for; your title deed, your proof of things, your conviction of the reality. Your senses will bring doubt because it can’t see what you are believeing. But continue to believe with your heart in God’s word. And then when it happens, you ‘show’ it to your senses.

There is no wisdom in doubting. Doubting is telling God that he is a liar, or can’t do what he says he will do or can’t fulfill what you think and desire.

Since He created you, He can create anything again; Since He brought Jesus back to life, He can bring anything dead to life; Since He spoke to the storm and it listened to him, any living or non-living thing is under his control.

[Ephesians 3:20 _  Now to him who is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than we can ASK OR IMAGINE according to HIS POWER that is at work within us (that is OUR FAITH and the Holy Spirit)]

[“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”_ Isaiah 55:8-99.]

God has ALL authority; he is the master of ALL things. And he has given power and authority to Jesus Christ. If you are born again, you can use the NAME OF JESUS with all its authority and power as if you were Christ. There is power in the name, and in the person (Jesus). Demons and Satan bow down in submission to that name, no matter who is using it. Once you are born again, you have the ‘license’ to use it in all authority. Don’t let your feelings tell you, you are not worthy.

Are you born again?

Do you have a desire?

Is that desire covered in the bible?

What scripture talks about your desire?

Get it, and use it. That is all. It not your business anymore about how it will happen. Once you use that word, the owner of that Word (God) comes into action for you. Using that word is like using a key to ‘open’ God into your situation.

BELIEVE!

HAVE FAITH!

FIND GOD’S WORD FOR YOUR REQUEST, SPEAK IT, SAY IT, AND BELIEVE IT. THAT IS YOUR FAITH.

(Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, why could we not drive it out? He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. _ Matthew 17:19-20).

#If it is a request or a need, find a scripture for that particular need or request.

#If it is demonic, cast it out IN JESUS’ NAME with authority as if you were Jesus, because you are a joint heir with Christ, and a heir of God. You are brothers, or Siblings with Jesus.

#Don’t live below your original standard anymore; don’t let the devil use you anyhow. You are a king and priest in God (Revelations 1:6).

Amen.

Shalom! … Peace!

I Love You.

Thank you so much for this excellent reminder! I’ve known this for a long time, and I’ve even written some of my own articles about it. However, I realize my faith hasn’t been as strong as it should be lately, and your excellent scriptural reminder about the exact definition of faith, and the truth that it’s already done is something I definitely needed to be reminded of today. Blessings to you 🙂
